Light Requirements

Most tropical plants prefer bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh midday sun, which can burn leaves. Low-light plants can tolerate shadier spaces but usually grow best with moderate light.

Watering

Check the potting mix before watering rather than following a fixed calendar. Many tropical plants prefer the top portion of the mix to dry slightly between waterings. Cacti and succulent plants generally need a longer dry period.

Humidity & Soil

Many tropical houseplants appreciate moderate humidity and a well-draining potting mix. Use containers with drainage holes and avoid leaving roots sitting in water.
